Personal Trainer, Billy Beck III, of www.BillyBeck.com , shows you how to get a more intense workout when exercising with an abdominal wheel. This is a more advanced exercise.
When i try to do certain exercises or moves where i scissor my body or fold in half at the hip (leg lifts, v ups, standing ab wheel, hanging v-ups). Something pulls in my lower back and i cant get a full range of motion. From a previous question i posted i believe this is due to my hip flexors. But why do i feel this tug and pain. I am above average flexible, So its not that. Does anyone know exactly why its doing this or if its possible to correct?

This is a demo of an exercise we use to build some circumductive power in the freestyle stroke during during the shoulder extension / propulsive phase. Notice the device maybe an “ab” wheel yet we concentrate on the wheel rolling under the chest and no movement at the hips. The Stuart McGill “brace” is in full effect so that there is no energy leak. The chain is added later once the movement is mastered and a static core can maintained. There are several other ways we add resistance and they will come in future videos. www.iconperformanceonline.com www.birminghambarbell.com www.iconnflcombinetraining.com
I’m 17 and 130 pounds. I wanna build muscle but I’m more interested in getting a real toned strong body with what I have now. The workout equipment I have available for use are : 20 pound dumbbells, and ab wheel, and a pushup bar. I will get a pull up bar with straps soon

I am trying to get into better shape for my honeymoon in a few months. My plan is to use a Precor Elipitcal 5-6 times a week for 30 minutes and use a ab wheel as well as crunchies. I also plan to eat better. Does this sound like a good plan and any advice on the best ways to loose the pooch that grows about the belly?
